Fly Fishing

Coho on the cast fly

The Dolphins North area, rich in schools of baitfish, is the feeding ground for millions of migrating salmon. For the fly fisherman, the northern waters of British Columbia, Canada are an ideal fishing location to cast saltwater streamer flies while quietly drifting or tied to the kelp beds.

Fly fishing for Chinook salmon is the most challenging, they take the longest time to land and their size and strength offers the ultimate test to the fly fishing angler. The plentiful and aggressive Coho salmon will take a fly more readily and fights on the surface, jumping and running: the perfect fish to take on a fly rod. Coho/Silver casting a fly

Pink salmon take a fly very well at the right time of the year and, like Coho, also fight on the surface.
