The dark, deep waters of northern BC are the haunts of halibut, one of the finest eating fish in the ocean. Ranging from 20 to 250 lbs., halibut are a challenge to boat but it's worth it to land one of these monsters because they are such a delicacy to eat. Halibut is fished for on the bottom using bait or jigs with heavier tackle. Prime time: May 20th to Sept 15th
